PIPPO

The way to order medications and book selected appointments 24/7

How to Register with Dr Kenny Charlestown on Pippo

(Step-by-step patient guide)

Pippo is the online system that helps you:

Book appointments
Request repeat prescriptions
Get reminders and messages from the practice

Step 1: Click the Registration Link

Click this link to begin:

Step 2: Fill in Your Details - the hard part (your details must match exactly what is on our records)

You’ll be asked for:

  • Your full name (as it appears in the GP records)

  • Your date of birth

  • Your address

  • Your email address (must be unique – can’t be shared with another person)

  • Your mobile phone number

Tip:

Pippo needs your details to match what the practice already has on file. If there’s a mismatch (like missing “County Mayo” in the address), it may say “registration declined.”….if this keeps happening just let us know and we can make sure our details match

If you live with family, make sure everyone uses their own email address to register.

Step 3: Set a Password

Create a password that you will remember.
Try using a mix of letters and numbers

Step 4: Confirm Your Email

You will get a message asking you to confirm your email.
Check your email inbox (and your spam folder just in case).
Click the link to verify your account.

Step 5: You're Registered!

Once accepted, you’ll be able to:

Log into Pippo anytime at https://app.pippo.ie

Book appointments (like the flu vaccine)

Request repeat prescriptions

See upcoming appointments

If You See “Declined” or Have Trouble

Call the practice and let them know.
The team can:

  • Check if your details match

  • Update your record

  • Send you a new invite if needed

Common problems:

  • You used a shortname instead of the name we have on the system

  • Address doesn’t match exactly

  • Shared email used for multiple people

💡 Tip: You can use the same mobile number for more than one person — just make sure each person has their own email.

How to Register a Child or Dependant in Pippo

If you're a parent or carer, you can add a child (under 18) to your Pippo account. This lets you book appointments or manage care on their behalf — all from your own login.

🚫 Important: Anyone aged 18 or over must register with their own email and account on Pippo. You can’t register an adult as a dependant.

Step-by-Step: Adding a Dependant

  1. Log into your Pippo account on your phone or computer.

  2. On the bottom-right corner of the app, tap your name or your first initial.

  3. A menu will pop up — tap on ‘Profile’.

  4. Scroll down until you see the ‘Dependants’ section.

  5. Tap ‘Add Dependant’.

  6. Fill in your child’s details:

    • Full Name

    • Date of Birth

    • Relationship (e.g. son, daughter, grandchild)

  7. Once done, tap ‘Save’ at the top.

What happens next?

  • The health practice (us!) will review and activate your dependant’s account.

  • Once we do that, you’ll be able to book appointments for them just like you do for yourself.
